It was early morning, and Mohan was working in his field.

Mohan (thinking to himself): “I work so hard, yet I never feel content. If I had a little more, life would be so much easier.”

While Mohan was tilling the field, his spade struck something unusual. Curious, he looked closely and found a small, glowing seed.

Mohan (in amazement): “What is this? This seed is glowing in a strange way. I’ve never seen a seed like this before.”

Suddenly, a mysterious voice echoed around him.

Mysterious Voice: “Mohan, this is a magical seed. Plant it in your field, and it will grow whatever you desire. But remember, do not be greedy.”

Mohan (in awe): “A magical seed! If this is true, all my problems will be solved!”

Mohan returns home and excitedly shares the news with his wife.

Mohan’s Wife: “You seem very happy today. What happened?”

Mohan: “Today, I found a magical seed. Whatever I want, I can get by planting it. I’m thinking of growing a tree of gold. We’ll become rich, and all our troubles will end.”

Mohan’s Wife (cautiously): “But Mohan, one must always be careful with magical things. Greed is never good.”

Mohan: “Don’t worry. I’ll handle everything.”

The next day, Mohan plants the seed in his field, wishing for a tree of gold. He waits patiently, and the following day, a shimmering tree of gold appears in his field.

Mohan (joyfully): “Wow! This is truly magic! Now, I’ll be the wealthiest man in the village.”

The villagers are amazed to see the golden tree in Mohan’s field.

Villager 1: “How is this possible? A golden tree has grown in Mohan’s field!”

Villager 2: “It must be magic. Mohan is so lucky!”

Mohan’s life changes overnight. He is now the richest man in the village, but his greed doesn’t stop there.

Mohan (thinking to himself): “I have a tree of gold now, but I want even more. I will grow something even grander with this magical seed.”

Mohan decides to use the magical seed again to grow something extraordinary.

Mohan: “This time, I’ll grow a magical horse that can fly. With it, I’ll be the most powerful man in the entire kingdom.”

Mohan plants the magical seed again, wishing for a magical flying horse. The next day, a gleaming white horse with wings appears in his field. The horse is magnificent and can fly through the air.

Mohan (happily): “This is amazing! Now I’ll ride this magical horse and make my mark across the kingdom. No one will be able to match my power.”

Mohan rides the magical horse and flies over the village. The villagers are stunned by the sight.

Villager 1: “This is truly magical! Mohan has become the most powerful man in the kingdom.”

Villager 2: “But Mohan’s greed keeps growing. I fear this magic may lead him to trouble.”

Mohan flies across the kingdom, displaying his newfound power. However, his greed and arrogance soon lead him toward greater problems.

The next morning, Mohan stands by his golden tree and magical horse, thinking.

Mohan (looking at the tree and the horse): “These are beautiful, but if I owned all the land in the village, I would be truly powerful. I should use the magical seed again.”

Mohan’s greed has now reached new heights. He plants the magical seed in his field again, wishing to become the owner of all the land in the village.

The villagers are shocked to see Mohan’s new wealth.

Villager 1: “Look, Mohan has taken control of the entire village’s land. How is this possible?”

Villager 2: “It’s all due to that magical seed. But I fear Mohan’s greed will lead to his downfall.”

Mohan’s wealth keeps increasing, but his happiness starts to fade. The villagers now resent him, and his friends have distanced themselves.

Mohan (thinking to himself): “I have everything, yet something still feels missing. Perhaps I need more.”

Mohan’s wife talks to him.

Mohan’s Wife: “Mohan, you have gained so much, but now you face the villagers’ anger. Is this right?”

Mohan: “I earned all this through hard work and luck. I want even more, and I’ll do whatever it takes.”

Mohan’s greed pushes him to go further.

Mohan: “Now, being a landowner isn’t enough. I want to be the king of this kingdom. I will make my final wish with the magical seed.”

Mohan’s greed has now crossed all limits. He plants the magical seed once more, wishing to become the king of the kingdom.

Mysterious Voice (speaking again): “Mohan, your greed will destroy you. Remember, misusing magic will force you to lose everything.”

Mohan: “I’m not afraid. I want to be the king of this kingdom!”

The next day, Mohan notices strange changes in his possessions.

Looking at his field, he sees that his golden tree has started to wither, and gradually, all his wealth disappears.

Mohan (in shock and fear): “What’s happening? My golden tree, my land… how is everything vanishing?”

Mohan now realizes that his greed has led him to disaster, but it’s too late.

Mohan sits at home, sad and worried, as his wife comes to him.

Mohan’s Wife (sympathetically): “Mohan, I see that you’re losing all your wealth. Is this the result of your greed?”

Mohan (regretfully): “Yes, in my greed, I lost everything. I thought I could have it all with the magical seed, but now I realize my mistake.”

The villagers approach Mohan, and by now, all his wealth has vanished.

Villager 1: “Mohan, we warned you not to rely on magic. Your greed has ruined you.”

Villager 2: “Look at you now; you’ve lost everything. You have nothing left.”

Mohan looks at his field, where the golden tree once stood, now just barren soil.

Mohan (to himself): “I traded my happiness and contentment for greed, and now I am left empty-handed.”

Mohan goes to the village temple and prays to God.

Mohan (in tears): “Oh God, forgive me for what I’ve done. In my greed, I made the biggest mistake of my life. Now, I just want to earn through hard work, without any magic.”

Mohan returns to his field and talks to his wife.

Mohan’s Wife: “Mohan, now you understand what true wealth is. Real happiness and contentment come from hard work and honesty, not greed.”

Mohan: “You’re right. Now, I will work on my land honestly and be content with whatever I earn.”

Mohan begins farming again, relying on his hard work instead of any magical seed.

Gradually, his crops start to grow, and he finds joy and satisfaction in his labor. The villagers appreciate his hard work and accept him back into their community.

Mohan (happily): “Now, I understand that true happiness and satisfaction come only from hard work. Greed only brings sorrow and destruction.”

Moral of the Story:

Greed always leads to destruction. True happiness and peace lie in contentment and hard work.
